Part 4

Chapter 1

Mara, my dark-haired, blue-eyed succubus companion, clung close to my side as we approached the back garden entrance to the castle. I wasn’t sure if we were ready to confront Faye, the powerful succubus who ruled over the area, but we didn’t have a choice. As the first man to enter the succubus dimension in ages, I could finally provide them with the energy they had been missing for a long time. Though Faye may not be friendly, with traps surrounding her castle, we needed her power on our side.

The door we were walking towards suddenly swung inward, revealing a petite succubus with her blonde hair cut short. She wore a black dress that barely reached her thighs with a white apron on top, giving her the appearance of a serving maid.

“About time you arrived. Faye’s been expecting you, but she’s a bit busy, so you’ll have to wait a bit,” she greeted us, her hands on her hips.

I frowned, my forehead wrinkling. “And who might you be?” I asked. Mara looked just as confused as I did.

The girl rolled her eyes, tilting her waist to one side. “Ashley.” Without further explanation, she turned around and gestured for us to follow. “Come. Or don’t. No skin off my back.”

I met Mara’s eyes and shrugged. What option did we have? I headed into the house after her. After a moment’s hesitation, Mara followed.

We walked in silence through the servant’s quarters, passing by empty rooms and a dusty kitchen. Ashley led us up a winding set of stairs and through a carpeted hallway. I tried to memorize the layout she took as she led us toward our destination, but I soon lost track.

Seemingly at random, she stopped at a set of double doors. Throwing them open, Ashley ushered us in. Unlike the rest of the dusty manor, these rooms appeared to have been freshly cleaned. The marble floor gleamed with polish, and the matching, red velvet furniture was clean and neat.

We entered a living room, looking out into the garden we had just been standing in. To our right, a doorway led into a lush, well-furnished bedroom. From where I stood, I could just see the elegant bathroom through an open door.

“These are your rooms, but feel free to go wherever you want. If a door is locked, don’t try. Ring the bell if you need me.” She gestured to a silver bell hanging by the door, then left, shutting the door behind her.

Mara stepped close to me, looking around cautiously as she dropped her voice to a whisper. “We should call her back, try and get her on our side.”

“How?” I asked.

Mara stared at me like I was an idiot, then slid her hand down to my crotch, squeezing it. “How do you think?” she replied with a playful smile. “The way we’ve tamed everyone else so far.”

I couldn’t deny that the idea had some appeal. Walking over to the bell, I gave it a little ring and heard the light, tinkling sound echo through the empty castle.
